The First Descendant Open Beta Date Announced
4K Resolution and Support Modes
For enthusiasts of stunning graphics, the PlayStation 5 version of The First Descendant supports 4K resolution and features in-game performance and fidelity modes. Through fidelity mode, players will be able to immerse themselves in stunning visuals in 4K resolution, accompanied by HDR support, which brings high-quality graphics for the charming and unique characters, varied cosmetic elements and colorful worlds. On the other hand, the performance mode at up to 60 frames per second provides fluid gameplay, allowing for splendid and fast-paced combat in The First Descendant . In addition, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support provides a stable gaming environment without framerate limitations.
The DualSense wireless controller brought with it the innovative adaptive triggers, which add depth to the gaming experience. In The First Descendant , each weapon class serves a different purpose, and these traits were reflected in the adaptive triggers. To ensure that each weapon class has a unique feel, different pressure and intensity values have been adjusted for each of the game's 11 weapon classes, depending on their usage. This means that a light revolver will have lighter adaptive triggers than a heavy launcher or sniper rifle, which will have more intense trigger pressures, providing a distinct experience. This approach to adaptive triggers creates an immersive experience when using weapons.
Haptic Feedback
Haptic feedback is another innovative feature of the DualSense controller. In addition to traditional vibrations, haptic feedback is designed to work in conjunction with the character's controls and the game environment. This haptic feedback manifests itself in several moments of the game, such as when a boss appears and advances towards you, or when you are attacked while using a firearm. Furthermore, when using the climbing hook, which is key to the game's agility and dynamic controls, haptic feedback provides a more vivid experience based on the speed and direction of movement.
Stunning spatial audio always adds to immersion in games, and PlayStation 3D Audio does an exceptional job of bringing the virtual world to life. It's hard to describe the tension you'll feel when you hear the sound of a missile passing close to your character in 3D Audio during a battle against a giant powerful boss.
